Vowel and consonant spelling – write out each spelling and then using the amounts given below to add your letters up to see which word equals the highest total.

Within your Spag lesson, we will be focusing on using the correct standard English. When writing or talking it is important we do not miss words out of our sentences.

Writing (45 minutes): To write a traditional tale
Today you are going to continue with your shared write. We are going to move onto the problem section of the story. This part of the story includes should include the main chunk of the writing, therefore I want to see some lovely, detailed writing. Watch the clip below and then use the success criteria to create your own problem paragraph.
Within your problem paragraph, you must use these sentence types and writing skills:
- ed and simile openers
- a range of sentence types
- speech sentences
- onomatopoeia
- prepositional phrases

Convert these measurements into small measurements of length.
Remember there is 1000m in a 1km, 100cm in a metre and 10mm in 1cm.

Maths Meeting: Decimals (45 minutes)
Today we are going to be understanding hundredths. We have previously looked at tenths and we know that there are 10 tenths in a whole one. How many hundredths do you think make a whole one? Yes, you are correct, there are 100 hundredths in one whole one.
A hundredth when written in decimal looks like this –

How many hundredths are in the second number?
There are 7 hundredths in the first number. There 23 hundredths in the second number however this can exchange to 2 tenths and 3 hundredths.
In the following tasks you are going to convert fractions and pictures into decimals using hundredths. Remember if it gives you more than 10 hundredths, you need to exchange ten of them for one tenth as shown in the example below.

As promised, you will be moving back onto dance this week. Firstly, I want you to get warm. Try this 5 minute warm up to get you going.
- Jog on the spot for 30 seconds
- Windmills for 30 seconds
- Jumping Jacks for 30 seconds
- Arm circles for 30 seconds
- Rest for 30 seconds
- Repeat twice
I would like you to create your own dance using any music you want. Listen to the music first and try and dance to the mood of the song. If you use a slow song, you should be moving slowly with slow movements. Explore different moods and feelings and develop your response to the music through different shapes, speeds, directions and ways of travel.
I want you to challenge yourselves and include these moves into your routine:
- A jumping jack
- A spin on one leg
- A leaning balance forward on one leg
- A roll of your choice (teddy bear roll, forward roll, backward roll)
- A circle on the floor
If you can achieve these moves it will help develop control, coordination, balance, poise and elevation in the basic actions of travelling, jumping, turning, gesture and stillness.

To finish off your day you are going to be looking at ‘landscape’ drawing. I want you to think about the height of different landscapes and how they differ in shape and size.
