This week is Mental Health week, we will be completing daily activities throughout the week and then on Friday we will be having a technology free day and celebrating rainbow day.

Please check Marvellous Me to find out more information about this.

Zoom meetings are there if you need them. If your child is finding the work tricky just drop in and out of the meeting when you need to.

Any concerns please message me by email on

Reading:

If you would like a book from school, please let me know and I will get one ready for you to collect.

Please can you keep recording in your child’s Home Reading record so we can continue to achieve 3 reads a week. If you could email a picture of your child’s Home Reader, at the end of the week so I can make a note of their reads, that would be great!

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs Kentfield-Howe

PSHE:

Today, listen to the story ‘The Colour Monster’ I know we have read this story in class but it is one of our favourites when talking about how we are feeling.

Tasks- Discuss the point below no need for recording.

If you would like to there are some colouring sheets for you to colour if you wish to colour one with how you are feeling today.

https://youtu.be/Ih0iu80u04Y
  • At the start of the story, the Colour Monster is feeling confused. When have you felt confused? What did you do in this situation? What can we do when we feel confused in the future?
  • In this story, yellow refers to happiness, red is for anger and blue is linked to sadness. Do you agree with those colour choices? Why?
  • Make a list of different emotions and think of times when you have experienced them.

If you would like a PDF copy please email me and I’ll be happy to send it over to you.
