English Main Activity
I really enjoyed looking at your best and worse memories from 2020. It will be a year we will never forgot. Today, we are going to work on using because to discuss how those memories made us feel. For each memory that you put on your sheet of paper yesterday, you are going to put it into a sentence. Make sure you explain how the memory made you feel and use powerful adjectives: unhappy, nervous, excited, overwhelmed. Remember to include a conjunction in each sentence and complete a sentence for each of your memories. Please do this in your English book and use your neatest writing. Look at my examples below.
One of my best memories was spending more time with Tuffles so my sentence could be:
I loved going on long walks with Truffles in the sunshine because I was able to explore new places.
One of my worst memories was not being able to teach children every day in class so my sentence could be:
Every day, I really missed my class of children because I worried about the learning they were missing and I didn’t want them to be lonely at home.
After you have completed the sentences, have a go at the activity below.
