Today, we will continue to focus our reading session around National Story Telling Week.
Read the story below and then complete the reading activities.
- Answer the following questions:
- Where are the characters?
- Why does the purple man talk through gritted teeth at the start?
- What will Doctor Magnetor do if he wins?
- What did Doctor Magnetor grab hold of?
2. Now I would like you to use your prediction skills to tell the ending of the story. I would like you to do this verbally, just like Michael Rosen did yesterday. You may wish to draw yourself some pictures to help you tell the ending of the story. You may need to practice telling your story a couple of times before you tell your final story. Think about what made Michael Rosen’s storytelling so interesting and try to include this in your story telling.
This week, our art lesson will focus on Children’s Mental Health Week and we will be focussing on expressing ourselves.
We are all unique and individual, but what makes you, you? What do you love doing? Are there things that make you feel happier when you are low, or help you to relax when you are worried?
Make a piece of artwork expressing yourself. It can be a pencil drawing, painting, a sculpture, a piece of textiles, a photograph or a collage.
Please check Marvellous Me for today’s activity.
Well done for completing today’s home learning. Now it is time to relax and enjoy a story. Remember to send your work to year3@handale.rac.sch.uk
