Year 6 Tag Rugby Tournament
On Monday 8th October 2018, 15 Year 6 children from Handale Primary School were involved in a Tag Rugby Tournament at Lingdale Primary, alongside other Primary Schools in the local area. Handale put in two teams and pitted their strengths against the likes of: St. Josephs, Skelton Primary, Badger Hill, St. Peters, Lingdale Primary and Whitecliffe. They battled against stiff competition and cold winds to earn their place within the tag rugby hall of fame and they did themselves proud. Both teams felt the glory of a win, the frustration of a close draw and the depression linked to an unfortunate loss but came out in the end with their heads held high. (Then, regardless, they got the morning off school so swings and roundabouts) An exciting morning, in which the children’s emotions were challenged and valuable new lessons learnt. The preparations begin for 2019.
