The nursery children have been busy playing with their friends this week. 👫Our book focus is ‘The Gruffalo’ and we have been retelling the story using the resources. We have been making Gruffalo Crumble in the builder’s tray, pegging purple prickles to the Gruffalo’s back and making the snake or the Gruffalo in the playdough. 🐍

🎨 Thank You for a Fantastic Art Afternoon! 🎨
A huge THANK YOU to all the parents who joined us for our Art Afternoon! It was wonderful to see so many of you getting creative alongside the children – the room was buzzing with imagination, colour, and lots of laughter.
There was so much talent on display from both our students and their parents – who clearly had just as much fun as the kids! 🖌️✨
We loved sharing this special time with you and celebrating the amazing creativity in our school. Thank you for making it such a memorable event!

Year 5 Trip to the Life Centre – What a Day! 🚀🪐✨
Year 5 had an amazing day at the Life Centre today. The children were impeccably behaved and showed enthusiasm and curiosity throughout.
We took part in an exciting Our Place in Space workshop, explored our imaginations in the Creativity Zone and the WOW Zone, and visited the incredible planetarium for a journey through the stars.
One of the highlights was the Science Theatre Show where we watched helium bubbles being set on fire and found out what happens to astronauts’ wee in space. The children were fascinated and thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
They were a credit to the school and made the most of a fantastic day filled with science, discovery and fun. 🌌🤩

An Incredible Egyptian Day! 🏺🌍
What an amazing day our Year 4 class had diving into the world of Ancient Egypt at the Great North Museum in Newcastle!
We began with a fascinating mummification workshop, where we explored how the ancient Egyptians preserved bodies, examined real X-rays, and uncovered the stories of some of Egypt’s most famous mummies. The children were full of questions and showed brilliant curiosity throughout.
In the afternoon, we explored the museum’s Egyptian gallery and also revisited our prior learning about the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Romans, Ancient Greeks and animals – making wonderful links across all our history topics.
The children were an absolute credit to the school. Their enthusiasm, behaviour and positive attitudes made the whole experience even more special. A fantastic day of hands-on learning and discovery!
